The Dad’s did a great job and well frankly so did the girls..

In fact the weather was truly great…with the exception of

the …….wait for it…………………………wind!!!!!!!!!

I know, I know…..show me your shocked face……

the lake was still very low, I’m not sure what Summer will

hold for the lake level but it was May the 4th and the wind

was from the north and the water was still….hum …….

how should I say this…….. brisk???

But what we are doing is

That’s correct , the Intro class is this Saturday the 4th

were at Sand Bass point in Grapevine for a 10am start!

Our 6 hours ACA class with all aca certified L2 and up

instructors will make sure you get all the knowledge you

need to be a safe and smart and happy paddler!

You get to return to class anytime to freshen up your skills

you get a free full day rental after the class and

your get the best value in kayaking in North Texas!

2 hours  3 days and it’s a paid gig…

you need a kayak and a paddle and a pfd

Get paid to paddle!

We had Allen ISD on the river for a Science Filed trip…

and yes…you MUS b trippin!

We keep the swimmers safe for Tri Daily at Grapevine

Along with the Game Wardens, Monica’s Life Guards

and a little help from our friends we did the deed on

Lake T A W A K O N I with BER and I was on a jetski

really, in fact I had my own personal life guard, NICE!

We also rounded out the Sunday with a nice rental too

Don’t let the paddling fun in 2013 escape YOU!

Thanks to the Allen ISD for having the smarts to hire Laurie!

The Marauders showed up and the river and kayaks…

did the rest!

We also need to Thank Michelle & Teresa & Cat too!

In fact we made this paddle heavy on Science including

Snakes Scorpions and splashing too!

We learned a lot, had some fun, enjoyed a lunch on the

banks of river and spent the day and I quote……….

“ on the best field trip ever”

We actually had a perfect river day……..

Great weather, light breeze and mild temps too…

And the big BONUS…. We also had Nettie!!!!

YEAH!!!

We learned to steer our kayak……….

Ahem…WE LEARNED TO STEER OUR KAYAK…..

And sadly

not one got their hair wet, go figure……..

We stopped to break it down but did NOT have any

swimmers….hum….  the water was a balmy 65??

Anyway we made it to the finish line and Michael took a

victory lap,

We had a busy weekend,

We had swim support for PlayTri on Saturday & a Sunday Tri too!

We had another swim support with Tri Daily and we also

supported a swim race in Las Colinas with Dallas Five 55

You’d think that was enough but we also supported……

  Home Depot with a boat loan for their WRL Cleanup along with

our own S4, and just to top that off..We paddled with our

friends from HATS too!      Like I said…..whew!

This time it was Dad's and sons

We had almost perfect weather….. our only drawback

someone took the water……

See were Luke is in that photo…last year that was water

In fact the cove we paddled in last year…it needed mowing

We were still able to find a fit with the Dad’s and the sons!

sometimes you just have to put your heads together……

and figure out how to have some fun!
