Who took the water??
see that rocky area, it’s usually about a foot U N D E R water….
here’s the downstream look too…
And we do have a term for this… it’s called…kayhiking…..
So yes the Army Corp of Engineers turned the water off so that LAERF
could plant river foliage along the stream bank, and they were slowly turning
water back on so as to not wash out the new plantings…..
We are excited about both the plantings and ACE’s ability to work with its
streams partners too, but why on a Saturday? why not on Thursday??
We can control a lot of the factors on the trip, however the water flow…
is beyond our control, sorry.
Join us next month at LLELA by them we should have water!!!!
